How to Measure a Cardboard Box
The size of a cardboard box, with no exceptions, is always expressed by three dimensions
These dimensions are always in the order of length, then width, then depth
Very Important
Always measure the box on the inside as this is where your goods are to be stored
These measurements refer to the inside dimensions of the cardboard box
1) Larger dimension of the box's opening = length
2) Smaller dimension of the box's opening = width
3) Side perpendicular to the box opening = depth / height
Remember
1) When measuring a box keep the box opening at the top with the longest side towards you
2) Then measure inside the box going from left to right (longest side) of the box opening which gives the length
3) Measure front to back (shortest side) of the box opening, again measuring inside the box which gives the width
4) Finally going away from the box opening at a right angle, measuring inside the box from top to bottom
This will give you the depth / height
